Highschool Teacher Equates Presidential Slogan to Nazi’s; Canned

Lyn Orletsky, a math teacher at River Ridge High School in Cherokee County, was caught on tape last week kicking students out of class for wearing ‘Make America Great’ T-shirts.

She equated the students wearing these shirts emblazoned with President Trump’s motto ‘Make America Great Again’ with Nazis wearing swastikas.

The Nazis were a ruthless regime responsible for killing millions. They waged one of the largest and most horrific genocides in human history. The holocaust was one of humanities more dismal moments to date. To equate Trump, (or kids wearing a national slogan on their shirts), to the Nazis is deplorable.

An anonymous source within River Ridge High School tipped-off  Turning Point News with a letter from the Superintendent, to the parents of the student victims, reporting of Orletsky’s termination and that the district is currently seeking out a new teacher to replace her.

Teachers hold positions of authority, and thus have the obligation to encourage dialogue and common sense thought. Criticizing students is of course dutiful, but using the odium of the Nazis in such a way is not only morally deranged, but toxic to our society in general.
