Hacktivists helping with #OpISIS are reporting Twitter shutting down their accounts for harassing ISIS and other terrorist groups. Yes, Twitter seems to be concerned over the feelings of ISIS and other brands of the ilk.
Twitter claims to have taken down 125,000 terrorist accounts since 2015 in a Feb 5, blog post, that was answered by WauchulaGhost, an Anonymous affiliate.
Who suspended 125,000 accounts? Anonymous, Anonymous affiliated groups, and everyday citizens.
It really makes you wonder if Twitter has taken some sort of stance. This is the sort of crap that keeps me from even having a Twitter account. Next they will be reporting your posts and account info to governments that want to label you a domestic terrorists. Honestly, get away from Twitter and Facebook, and support the less invasive and more trustworthy Diaspora, the online social world where you are in control.
I digress. Simply put, isn’t Twitter is complicit in terrorist acts by removing accounts doing battle with the actual terrorists?
“You do realize if we all stopped reporting terrorist accounts and graphic images, Twitter would be flooded with terrorists,” –WauchulaGhost.
It’s up to you to decide for yourselves. I leave you with an Anonymous OpISIS video with the plea to world citizens come together to help battle terrorism on social media.
